I'm bored,

This is probably a better post: (new ones added)

I want Arthur Spooner as an avatar. :D

I must admit i like it how the ranks are in here and the avatars, it keeps it clean and to a standard layout.

I hate them. It gives users no personality and makes the forum look dull.

I think we should be able to submit avatars and the dons can moderate which ones we can use.

I know on bodybuilding.com they only allow avatars if its a picture of yourself... Maybe overclockers can allow avatars if its a picture of our rigs. :D

I like the system, but they've become a bit boring now, some change would be welcome. Not that any suggested changes to the forum ever happen. Very rarely.

I noticed that they're all actors except for John Gotti. Is that right?

Personally i dont like em, there too mafia orientated id like my own instead.

The mafia themed avatars are too mafia orientated for you? :p

The capodecina (5,000+) and caporegime (10,000+) were added relatively recently although you're right, generally speaking any changes will be considered very closely before any possible implementation.

Yep, John Gotti was known as The Dapper Don so fits in quite nicely with the other stylish characters.

I would much rather have the current ones than a load of retarded animated gifs and Japanophile manga crap kids like these days.

I think the sigs give enough identifying character to each post without the need for custom avatars as well

I like the avatars as they are. If you want something personal, use a sig, as above. I'm reluctant to change mine (even though I've stopped folding for the moment) simply because I know the big grey banner = me.

Not too keen on the avatars myself, don't dislike them but would prefer them not being there at all for regular users as theres no real reason behind them other than for the few people who <3 their post counts more than their posts.

Quite handy to spot a mod/admin though as you furiously mouse wheel through a thread without having to know their sigs (and on that point the sig system/rules is great here, they are all so uniform, yet individual and pretty).
