just a random thought after having endless bad luck with baked beans... (yes i love em) latest ones i tried were cross and blackwell, - big mistake 90% water i had to drain before serving - anyway starting me thinking what imitation or supermarket own brands do you prefer..

for me... Aldi - Titian Bars (mars bar) & Tesco fruit and fibre half the price and double the fruit! :D

Lidl Crunchy Peanut Butter (Mcennedy) - better than anyones I have tried and considerably cheaper.

Possibly because a lot of the competition (including Marks and Spencer) have switched to using the Palm oil rather than vegetable oil. For some reason everyone seems to be switching to palm oil these days in foodstuffs, and i can taste it a mile off.

I think a lot of biscuits that are own brand are nicer than named brands like McVities.

The production of palm oil also utterly destroys the environment, in cutting down rainforest.

Many own brand biscuits have less fat and sugar than the big name brands but I am sooooo wary of Tesco made-up fake brand stuff. It's absolutely awful.

Tesco value orange juice. Have tried lots of different brands but for taste/refreshment it's hard to beat imo.

Tesco Finest White Chocolate Chip Cookies... dribble. ;)
Tesco crunchy sticks - so good!
Asda Sausage rolls, those things are far too good after 50 seconds in the microwave :p

Eugh, no! Orange Juice has to be non concentrated! Other fruit juices are fine from concentrate but Orange Juice is just nasty.:(

What really gets me is supermarkets package the same juice in square cartons and stick them in the fridges next to the not from concentrate stuff and charge more for them!

Nah, its really dry. I'm currently eating own brand Walmart, its so much nicer then UK Peanut Butter.

Tesco Value Penguin biscuits taste more of chocolate then real penguins.
