Hi all, was thinking about putting a after market cooler on my HD 5770, which ones a good one to go for?

Want it quite, passive cooling maybe? and blue LEDs is a bonus

Also is there anything better or equivalent to the Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro sound card?

Thanks
Dan

asus xonar d2 is best for music, x-fi pre lude best for games.

5770, some accerello (no idea on spelling) cooler would prob be best, get some silent 92mm fans on it. a 5750 was passively cooled by some company wasnt it?

There are only a couple of aftermarket coolers that fit the 5770 due to the mounting holes only being 61mm diagonally. The Accellero fit's as it has more than one set of mounting holes. The Akasa Neo Vortex, Zalman VF700/900 do not fit.

pci-e one requires a floppy for power, and tends to "hang" a bit, since its such a large card with so very little supporting it on the mobo. The PCI one doesnt need the extra power connector and also downt hang down in teh corner so much (not that its much on the D2x, but you can see it, even if it doesnt touch the card below it

So comparing the two on performance/quality then, they don't differ?
DX2 and the DX

nope, identical cards. Price varies a bit though. Id also look at the fact that mobos STILL havent gone all PCI-E, except for the ones with a million PCI-E 16x slots, which obv do accept pci-e1x cards, although i got some irq issues when i did that, which is i why i sold mine and got myself a PCI version..
