Anyways i made this thread purposely for people to post impressions of this card. Yea i know its a day or two early but still.

Nah there still covering waranty's in the UK sent my GTX280 off last Friday got a replacment card arive on Tuesday

the 295 doesnt do too bad v the new nvidia cards does it. im sticking with my 2 295's untill maybe ill make the switch to 2 ati cards later in the year.

Leeroy, 2 x 295 does that not give any issues ? does it give a nice boost via BFC2 say ?

Having NVIDIA CONFIDENTIAL stamped across it makes it look pretty suspect

i would love to see if it is true 1ghz 480gtx

asus stated 30 % + something on 5850 and it does that

If it does, 480GTX could presumably compete with 5970. Unless we take into account they both can be overclocked, the second can drop in price and the last but not least, the amount of heat produced would possibly kill it. Still, overclocking capabilities may be a deal breaker soon.

Doesn't seem that good tbh, I get over 12,500 pts in the same test with an overclocked 4890 and E8400. This is a Core i5 and overclocked GTX 470 which is approx 30% faster.
Quite meh if true

There should be plenty of these superoverclocked, blackdog and so on versions of these cards.

Hopefully with some decent speed increases on the memory clocks and the gpu clock domains that will only improve on those above posted scores.

The CPU score is messed up, they should turn PhysX off. I get about 16k GPU score with my 5850. Nothing impressive tbh.

Does it matter. There is so much rubbish being bandied around the internet at the moment with regard to Fermi that it’s a waste of time looking at it. The truth will start to come out from tomorrow.
