My New wee lilttle bully boy!!

I really like them :)

Think Jacob looks really cute in that pic, bet you can't wait for him to grow up just like his dad/grandad!

OP - how much training will you have to give him in the next few months so that he doesn't become overly boisterous as a pup, or are they easy to train? We've a collie at the moment but I've always wanted a bull or a german shepherd, how much roughly would a good pedigree one sell for as a pup?

Ugly breed of dog, and also the only dog to attack me in my life was an english bull terrier so minus points for that aswell.

If you post on a forum, you have to expect that not every opinion will match yours, and attempting to preclude "negative" views is never going to work. If you don't like the response, you should post in a bull terrier forum, otherwise just accept that not everyone likes the look of the dogs, even if you do.

Out of interest, what's the crack with show dog naming conventions?

I watched some Crufts and the names all start 'Ch' then get more long winded and silly.

They have the sort of smile that makes them look like stroke victims.

Not surprised an owner of this breed can't spell 'No-one' or 'Nobody'.

LOL my girlfriend calls them disabled dogs LLF

C'mon guys the OP's genuinely really proud of his new dog, whether or not you think it's ugly is a fair view. The above posts are a bit below the belt. If you want to say why you don't like the dog there's nothing wrong with that but consistantly making fun of the dog or his owner's not fair. Just because they don't look as cute as say the cats in the kitten thread doesn't mean they're not someones pride and joy, and part of their family...

Hate them, but like dogs in general.

They just look like they've run into a wall at far too high of a speed.

Awful, awful looking things.

Lovely dog(s) I am a fan of most bull-breeds.

The ugliest animals I have come across only have two legs!

I've hardly ever seen these dogs about over here in NI. What age is the pup there? They aren't the worst looking dog but not my cup of tea, think they just lack the 'cute' factor. Love the same though. My Fiance's boxer is called Jake

I'm sure Josef Fritzl was someone's pride and joy and part of a family...

Everyone I ever see with a muscle-dog (A lot, since I live in London), is basically a chav or gang member trying to boost their cred or street-rep by keeping a dog they can't control, at the expense of everyone around them. To be honest I can't see a valuable function these dogs provide and I'd be happy to see them all expelled to a little australia-like-dog-island...

Im really no going to get embroiled in pointless arguments....

yeah I cant speel ;) ...and Im throwing my toys because **no one" loves my doggy!!

lol honestly!!!

Anyhoo!!

There are similarities in all breeds, qualities traits etc, but each dog, as you will know, has its own personality. I have had really lazy bullies, and I have had very boisterous playful and highly excitable ones. The boisterous ones I tend not too excite to much (generally boys), keep them calm as youngsters and give them plenty of exercise....

Prices, can vary, but anything from £800 to £1000... and onwards.

If you are going to buy, have a look over here.

You will read posts from far more experienced people than me... and you will be able to talk to and meet breeders that will give you all the information you need.
