Black Rapid Strap

I remember seeing a Thread on here about the black rapid strap and how so many people wanted one etc. Just seen on photography blog that JP Distribution are going to be doing them in the UK

Now that is great news for people looking to get one. I did and had to get it imported, worked out fairly expensive dude to the additional £8 charged by silly ParcelForce for 'admin' charge on top of the VAT which is was prepared to pay.

And just a quick comment about the strap, it's awesome! I won't go out without it.

EDIT: what was the strap you were using at the meet SS? Thought that was one?

After watching some vids on them I'm tempted... are they really worth like 50 quid?

Mine came to under £42 all in, inc import tax and stupid admin fees and to sum it up, YES. Definitely worth it. The strap is sturdy and the FastenR2 (that ring attached to the camera) is serious quality, thus I trust it when I was swinging a kit worth over £1000 on my side.

Bit pricey for just a strap imo. Even if it is good, is it really worth £40 for a strap?

Yeah, I had the RS-4 at the meet.

Mine was about £43 or something, imported, and yes it was worth every penny.

Definitely. You have to try one to appreciate it though I think.
