I've not had chance to post pics of my CTR yet due to the weather been crap.

I'm now realising how expensive to run these things can be. I put in £25 of vpower fuel and done around 130 miles. This was without vtec'in it.

Is this normal? It just seems to drink lots of fuel.

Sounds about right for city driving tbh. Can easily be upped by changing your driving style though, I've got my CTS up from 22 to 26mpg city in the last month.

I get 450 miles to a tank in my Celica VVTLi ('revvy' like a CTR). If you want good miles just change your driving style to get them!

The best I've ever had from mine is a smidge over 30mpg, without VTEC. I don't bother working out day to day fuel consumption now, because it is by no means high, or anywhere near to 30mpg.

I abuse VTEC when I can, enjoy it, and therefore am happy to pay the price of lower fuel consumption as a result.

You don't buy a CTR and worry about fuel. I'm **** with money but I didn't waste my cars potential worrying about mpg and never worried too much towards the end of the month.

On a long country run of keeping it in the zone I found I got better mpg than my daily commute over a week. The difference between the high and low isn't that much in £ really and so worth it. Someone did once say that hitting VTEC was like throwing a bag of £1 coins out the window, but I think their was supercharged :D

On the drive from j15 - j24 of the m1 today I got 39.5 mpg out of mine. Went down to 36 by the time I got to the office
