I have a Epson P50 Printer with a Continuous Ink System which has worked flawlessly for the last 5 months or so. Went to print a few things today and noticed that there was black ink over each sheet, removed the CISS to notice that there is a pin ***** of a hole in the cartridge  and has leaked all over where the other cartidges go which means that everything is now black.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to clean all the black ink out?

Here is a pic to show where i mean: (minus carts)

I would assume some sort of cleaner. I find lighter fluid gets rid of marker pen well and as printer ink is made from a simular base mixture it may work.

Hi have you a external waste ink tank fitted, Google for information on you Epson printer, one is VERY easily made, and drains the waste ink out of the printer and doesn't soak into the printers waste ink pads in the bottom of the printer.

I found this much better and any ink spills are take out of the printer
Let us know how you get on ;)

no m8, no external waste tank. Just took a pic to show what i mean as i have not explained very well lol In the green box there is a fair bit of black ink and am wondering how to get it out and when i put new carts in they will be the correct colours and not the black getting through. ( If you understand this  )

Yes I had the same problem, I used kitchen paper towels, but remember try and not to mix the colours up, soak up the ink one at a time, this may take a LOT of paper towels and remember to change the towel on each colour.
Hope this helps

Leave the paper towel in each colour for a while to wick the ink up, it will take a lot of time and trouble.
