1) Pretty much all 'good' phones nowadays have touchscreens.
2) They've vastly superior for mobile devices anyway, due to the space. You're going to have to get used to them sooner or later, as they become more integrated.
I have an ipod touch and i dont like its touchscreen. Typing on a touchscreen just isnt as nice as buttons. Also I have opera mini on my buttons phone and it works perfectly well.
Oh yeah it works fine, but its nothing like as good as a decent touchscreen (IMO the ipod/iphone ones are naff) the resistive touchscreen on my xperia is perfection
I bet you could pic up one of Blackberry's lower end phones for £150 or less if you shopped around. Like a BB Curve. I really like my BB. I've had it for a few weeks ago.

Jesus christ what a collection of epic fail replies. There are plenty of good non-touch phones yet people try to thrust them on him, and cheap ones at that. Cheap touch screen for the lose, there really is no need.
