I was wondering what are the LED fans that come with the Coolermaster Scout case?
i know they are red but are they a specific type or anything?
what would be the best match for them if i were to buy another RED LED?

They are Coolermaster fans. Just checked mine for you and the 140mm has a part number of A14025-10CB-4MN-F1 and the 120mm has a part number of A12025-12CB-4MN-F1. I have some Xilence and Yate Loon red led fans and they are the same colour.

Okay thanks for the info Pasty - what case do you have the Scout?
if so have you replaced the LED out-take fan? looking at it, it seems kinda hard
as its tied togther with other cables with some zip thing, should i just cut it and then replace the Zip thing once the fan is replaced?

Can't say I have knowledge of your case. But I haven't met/even heard of a case fan that isn't fully removable. Zip ties are used to keep cables out the way but aren't actually structural to the fan. Just cut it and unscrew the fan. You can replace the zip tie if you think the cables are going to get in the way/caught on the fan etc. but it isn't a necessity

yeah thats what i was thinking about the cable tidy thing.
it would just mean removing EVERYTHING to remove the out take fan
the LED intake fan should be quite simple to take out, so i might just replace that and leave the other one alone for now

What a lot of people do (including myself) is feed the majority of the cables out behind the motherboard tray and then back in again nearer to the component/destination. This way the case looks tidier as the cables are hidden from view between the mobo and the right hand panel of the case. Plus the fewer cables you have in the main area of the case the less restriction on air flow and so you fans will become more effective

yeah i was thinking that - but most of the cabling is for the fans - which come from behind the case and dont have anything to with the MB so putting under the motherboard would be pointless

Not necessarily. It depends what the fans are connected to. If they are molex for example just feed a molex cable from the PSU behind the Mobo along with the fan cables and connect them behind the motherboard.
I can honestly say the only cable I have which I haven't threaded out of the way is the power cable for my watercooling pump. And that's only because I want to be able to get to it easily in-case something goes wrong!

thanks for the tip, i might try that - will mean removing everything, the PSU fan will be the most annoying as it was a freaking pain to install. i might try to have it so they are behind the case, where quite a few of the wires are - the cables to the MB and graphics card will be the most annoying as i wont be able to hide them
