*** Final Fantasy XIII ***

Yup robot sidequest in Oerba is your best bet. Dead easy to find the 5 parts, takes about 20mins and if you've done 10,000 steps you'll end up with a pile of goodies you can sell for a big stash of Gil. :)
http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/fi...final-fantasy-xiii-road-map-trophy-guide.html
The description of this trophy is rather misleading, as it has absolutely nothing to do with walking on the lowerworld surface. To unlock this trophy, you must complete a side quest in the Oerba Village; it can be accessed starting in Chapter 11. One of the houses contains a broken robot, Bhakti, who needs to be repaired. The items needed to repair him (Power Cable, Battery Pack, Trochoid Gear, Aspherical Lens, and Metal Plate) are scattered around the village and will appear as a "?" when approached. One of them must be obtained from an enemy in the area; be sure to defeat all the enemies as you look around for these items. Locate the five items (they are all in obvious locations and are hard to miss), then return to Bhakti.

Looking at the list of all Accessories, I am having some problems.

Rings and Charms are the problem as they cannot be bought. Each of the 6 elements has a 3 tiered Ring and a single tier Charm.

The Rings can be upgraded and dismantled to get the tier 1 ring back, so as long as you have 1 ring of each Element you are OK. Additionally, If you have no rings, but own the Charm of that element, you can upgrade and dismantle that to get the Base Ring back.
Charms cannot be dismantled form other items.

Now my problem, I have no Fire, Lightning, Wind & Earth Charms.

Anyone with the Official Guide know where these are? I may have sold them or not opened the appropriate treasure chest, hard to remember. If I sold them, can't find them I will have to ignore that particular Trophy/XMB Theme :(

Here is a list I created in Excel, if it helps anyone The borders signify which Item is upgraded to get the one below it. Apart from Charms, as long as you have one item in each section you can obtain all the others.

Awesome excel table! thanks a lot... one question though, is your "Hermes's Sandals" and "Sprint Shoes" back to front in the "Obtained" column? I'd just had assumed that critical haste would be worse than auto haste, and maybe critical haste once leveled becomes auto haste?

The 1st column is just whether they are in my personal inventory or not.

the order for the items is the "weakest" one in a set at the top and ones below it are the upgrades in that set. So Sprint Shoes is derived form upgrading Hermes Sandals

Or Black Belt>General's Belt>Champion's Belt etc.

Here is the xls file if anyone wants it, There is an Autoformat rule in the 1st column that turns stuff yellow if you put a "y" or" Y" in it.

I'm an hour or two in (killed 10 or so C'ieth), mostly enjoying it so far but really hoping that it becomes a bit more involved soon. Other than having to use a potion 3-4 times I've not had to do much in battles other than tap x for 10-30 seconds. How long before more facets of the battle system come in to play?

Stunning presentation, only downer so far is Vanille who seems very annoying!

I've been reading all of the log entries, for a game that is in some ways aimed more at casual gamers (compared to other FF games) the story is pretty hard to appreciate if you don't delve into the logs every 10-15 minutes. Not intended as a criticism as I enjoy it, just surprised me that it throws you in and gives comparatively little explanation unless you are prepared to do some reading.

You are a legend, sir :) I am going to make my way over to him later. (Shame it is a "Toise" and not the "Tortoise", which has much lower XP, but beggars can't be choosers :) I think I will do a youtube video of me whooping him later!

Have you completed the final Ci'eth stone mission by any chance? I am struggling with this at the moment, tried a good 10 times last night, I managed to get him close to 20% energy left, but cannot better that.

I have Lightning and Fangs weapons to Level 100 (maxed) and Hope is on Level 50. Probably need a good 6+ Ingots.

Not tried yet, i'll give him a go now, lol.

Edit: Yeah, killed him. Was a lot easier than what i was expecting tbh. only 3 stars though :(

The strategy i used was taken from the guide book and it makes the fight simple, the book is still a little vague though so i'll try elaborate below (hidden for spoiler reasons)

Paradigms:

Com Rav Rav
Com Rav Med
Sab Sab Sab
Syn Syn Syn
Med Med Med
Sen Sen Sen

The basic dmg is from Com, Rav, Rav. (Lightning's army of one was very useful for chain buidling at this point) I rarely got to use this for any extended time in the fight since by that time he switches to impenitrable aura.

Next Com, Rav, Med. Basically allows you to continue attacking while hes smashing you with his wind whirl and putresence since it keeps your hp away from dangerous levels while getting good dmg out. I used this a reasonable amount of time while stable and fighting him alternating with Com, Rav, Rav for dmg when hp hits green.

Sab, Sab, Sab. Use as soon as it flips out of its impenatrable aura as that will immediately take off his buffs and debuff him down, try and stay in the form until you land atleast imperil, deshell, deprotect and slow. (My vanille and fang are both setup for enhanced debuffing so this went very quickly)

Syn, Syn, Syn. Only necessary while he is in impenitrable aura phase, since you cant hurt him and he resets the chain gauge anyway, buff yourself as much as possible try not to leave it in this paradigm when he jumps out of the aura as you tend to just be wasting precious dmg time then.

Med, Med, Med. Didn't need this as much as i would have expected but its perfect for getting back to max hp FAST after wicked whirl. It's also extremely useful if all your chars are at half hp and the boss uses impenitrable aura since you can cap your hp to max in 1 round and begin buffing a lot quicker.

Sen Sen Sen. Only 1 use for this paradigm, as soon as you see wicked whirl switch to it. Soon as wicked whirl is over switch to Med, Med, Med (if your really hurting) or Com, Rad, Med (if you think you can continue safely). Majority of the time after it i could switch back to Com, Rad, Med without any danger until the later stages when he starts getting a little more dangerous.

He switches to Impenitrable aura too often to stagger and can even do it when staggered but i still managed to stagger him twice in the entire fight, Lightning's Army of One being extremely helpful here, ESPECIALLY during wicked whirl as you can switch her to sentinel while shes in the middle of the huge combo and she will still finish it also while getting the defense boost for absorbing most of the dmg from wicked whirl.

Don't worry too much about putresence dispelling most of your buffs, just keep attacking at that point since he will just eventually go back into his aura allowing you ample time to rebuff then.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

Still need to do:
2 more trapezohedrons for all weapons
5 star rank all marks
5 star endboss
.. Almost done, lol.

Think I'm at the last boss, having a major nerd rage though (highlight below, spoilertastic however):

First form is no problem at all, wipe that out. Second form however, everything goes great... unless he uses this "Precognital Wrath" or whatever it's called and just instantly kill me (some kind of "Death" move). Got two Cherub's Crown equipped on my main character which gives 60% death resistance but still has killed me two times in a row from that move. Whoever thought instant death moves on a boss were a good idea wants stabbed right in the face.

I got 3 stars as well :p It was much easier once I levelled up 2 Ultimate weapons, when I tried with just 1 "super" character I failed for over 2 hours.

The accessory he drops doesn't seem that great to me. On a 44 second fight, it turns the timer to 49 secs.

Just finished the main story, 5 starred forms 1 and 2, then 0 starred form 3... :o

How irritating...

Thought I beat it fairly quickly as well... ah well, apparently not, i'll come back and do it again later.

Off to go finish Cie'th quests I go :D

Seeing as you have the guide, can I ask where I can find the following:
Fire, Lightning, Wind & Earth Charms.

if I sold them (which is possible) then I guess I cannot do the all weapons/accessory task.

I just have:
-Long Gui (Almost beat him, he seems pretty easy with 3 maxed out characters)
-All weapons/accessories (not bothering till I can figure out if charms are still obtainable)
-All 5 star missions (shouldn't be too hard, I only have 20/64 I did not manage 1st time round)

Lightning, Wind and Earth are along the wall where the titan(giant) walks behind. If you start from the save point where you first enter the expanse, and follow the wall, you come across 3 spheres with those charms

Fire is down where those penguin type mobs are, the sphere is behind a small ledge where there are only a 2 group.

The first 3 were exactly where you said and I got them all!!! If you could be a bit more specific for the Fire one I would be very grateful, no idea what area you are describing or which enemies look like penguins :)

Edit: found the Fire one as well, as you said "down where" I looked south on the map and I found what could be considered weird fat dancing penguins :)

I am very, very, very grateful. Thanks.
