New Nissan Micra

*insert despair here*

Japan produce some awesome futuristic concepts that make "just a car" look utterly awesome. Sadly the "just a car" people are going bore my eyeballs out while they drive like they're pulling an articulated lorry with the parking brake on.

The last model was good. I liked that bubble shape. Original and disarming, particularly in traffic. Everyone lets you out of junctions, into gaps etc.

The new one looks ***** though.
 
The last one was pretty ugly, having apparently taken design cues from the Corsa D. The one before that was relatively inoffensive.

The best looking Micra was the late 80s square boxy one. Ok so it was nothing special but it looked fine.

Ultimately this is a thread, about the Micra. Who cares about the Micra, really? (350SR excepted)
 
I just want to poke my finger at that centre console. If it likes it, I might treat it to my fist.
 
thats what happens when the french get involved :(. appart from the zed and the gtr. near enough all of nissans lineup is appauling now.

Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. Ok, so I wouldn't want one, but then I am not the target market. In fact I would go as far as saying that no one on these forums are the target market.
 
It's a Micra, have any of you lot ever liked the Micra? It's not worse or better than any other Micra, surely. It's not like you feel let down by this one because the others were so fantastic.

i think the old micra in my opinion did look a bit more upmarket. infact i would go as far to say that the old version looks more modern then this version. the new one has no indentity and doesn't look like a nissan at all. it wouldn't look out of place in a korean dealership.

Why have they gone back to the original shape? It was vile then and it's still vile now! As for the interior, it looks like John Major....
