It's Friday and my employers aren't paying me till monday!!

I get paid every 4 weeks, not monthly, so I always get paid on a Friday but the date moves through the month over the year.

But I do get paid 13 times a year, and one of those is free as in there are no bills to pay when I get it :)

I get paid on the 25th of every month (or the closest working day). I don't understand how people spend all their money and cut it so fine, doesn't it make you stressed? :-/ I always keep a buffer in my current account, once I reach that I don't spend any more until I get paid again.

last day of the month here, so wednesday! Luckily it was my 21st this month so im practically rolling in it for a change.

I dont think I could do this tbh, getting paid monthly teaches you how to budget yourself. I think I would end up spending more money on crap if I got paid weekly :p

Does take some getting used to coming from monthly pay, however I have it where I am always 1 month ahead of my bills so no issue with the budgeting :) if I spend my weekly allowance I know it will only a few days when I will be paid again :)

you don't know you're born! i have my own business and in this climate getting payment out of people is a slow and time consuming process. Getting paid once a month would be a massive luxury. Whiners:p

when you live in a flat and renting and paying bills, every penny counts. i am looking at getting a credit card in the future once im more financially stable, however i would just spend it on crap. each month i always budget myself so i spend at least £100 on myself.

i would have liked payday today, get some stock for my fridge and freezer it's looking abit lonely, plus it's FAT FRIDAY, which means junk food :D

I hear you but I rent a flat on my own and pay all the bills too :) it sounds like you've at least got a plan which is a start, good luck :)

Surely you've known this for at least a month and would have prepared for it?

Don't blame your employer for your inability to budget :/

Yeah. What's the issue - surely you knew this was the case?

For what it's worth - I worked for a place where I'd regularly receive emails staying they were struggling to raise capital for salaries each month. Wasn't a good thing and I resigned very soon after.

I go mental at our wages staff every time I get paid. If it's not late, it's almost always missing some of the money I was supposed to be paid.

Every month, i'll either get my contract hours + the overtime money from last month. Or just the overtime money from that month and not the stuff they didn't pay me the previous month. Some months i've not even gotten my contract hours paid in properly, i'll be missing a weeks wages.
No matter how much I go through it with them and confirm the correct amounts they never stick to it.

They're complete idiots, they should really have learned by now, double check it else I am going to be on the phone or at the wages office very very angry.

Just go to HR

im the last working day of every month. its not much fun. but stops me going boooooyaaaahhhh with it at the week end. which is usualy on drink and lots of drink for the bike lol

I want to get to this stage. I am just now but £25.00 doesn't really count LOL
Me too, although I never spent all of last months so it's a bit meh tbh
