New ATI drivers (Newer than 10.3a's)

Installed and booted up metro and there are indeed FPS increases with these compared to 10.3a beta's. Playing at dx11 very high with tesselation ON dof OFF at 1920x1080 with AAA instead of MSAA. DOF still kills the framerate though but the hit with tesselation seems vastly less with these. Did the rail car defence thing at the start of the game with a very smooth framerate :)

No, same problem for me, 3d display driver not working.
back to 10.2!

Why roll back and use old when its clearly something to do with your setup as no one else has problems.

I re installed windows after having problems with 10.2 and 10.3a now everythings running very smoothly. Your just wasting time on old drivers and not solving anything.

Try a windows reinstall. It seems likely that something is wrong with your setup.

@everyone else

Are these drivers meant to do anything for BFBC2?

edit: Ah..they're just opengl. Guess not then as bfbc2 is dx.

There is a newer d3d file with these as well as it was compiled a few days later then the 10.3a betas and over a week later then the 10.3 officials.

I currently have a 4870 1GB prob running catalyst 9.8 or something. I tend to play quite a few old'ish games (Titan Quest, Rome TW, CS:S etc). Am I right in thinking that if i upgrade to latest drivers I might actually expereince worse performance in the games I do play? Im thinking along the lines of the latest drivers are optimised for the latest (and most popular) games and this sometimes comes at the cost of 'legacy' titles.....

Its worth upgrading the drivers even if you play older games due to shader performance improvements and changes to catalyst AI plus stability improvements over older drivers even for older hardware

Indeed. You can always uninstall and go back to your old drivers too.
