Hey I was wondering what headset i should get I have been looking at some surround sound headsets and some really nice stereo Sony headphones.

So this pair caught my eyes http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-070-LG&groupid=702&catid=1058&subcat=692 are they any good?

If there not any good do you think these would be better. Sony MDR-NC60 High Quality Noise Cancelling Headphones. I have tested them eprsonally at the Apple shop and there bloody amazing I can hardly hear any background noise and music sounds very good but wasnt sure if they would be good enough for gaming plus it lacks the mic which I kind of need.

I have about £100 to spend on a headset or headphones so point me in a direction please :)

PC350's are good, but a tad pricey. Assuming no mic is needed some HD595's would be a far better buy at a few £ more.

Do you need a microphone? You mention headset and also headphones.

What sound device are you using, sound card or onboard? If onboard, which motherboard do you have?

Thanks for the replys :) I think i will go for the Sennheiser headsets and use the surround sound software.

Thanks.

Dont just say 'Bad choice' I need an explanation why it is a bad choice. I looked at the headphones you suggested and they looked good but there is no mic.

lol. So you did read my suggestion ;) Basically they are always recommended as one of the best gaming headphones, but like you say there is no mic. You can do a mod though to attach a microphone, which isn't ideal for everyone.

Sennheiser is a very good brand though.

Thank you for clearing that up :)

It's fair to say my Sennheiser 350's lack ever so slightly somewhat on base given the price point. Gaming wise, this is a complete non issue, its only, if at all noticeable, when listening to music, which I do a lot of.

I have a xoner sound card which ofc helps.

These headphones are extremely comfortable. Hrs and hrs of happy gaming :)

Build quality is worth a mention too, top notch.
