Towing an Auto?

I know it's technically a big no no to do this however as it's only a 2 mile trip on 30MPH roads I wanted to see if anyone could confirm it's really that bad.

The car doesn't run so I can start the engine and will be towed using an A-Frame so all wheels on the ground.

It can vary from car to car, can you get hold of the owners manual.

Can you even move it out of park without the engine on? If not it's not going anywhere with it's wheels on the ground.

should be able to put it in nuetral without the engine on....iirc mine says not to be towed over 40mph for no more than 20 miles....so you might be okay..but it should be in the owners manual.

I assume that as long as you can put it in neutral you'd be fine. I'm no expert.

I'd have thought you'd be fine towing just 2 miles.
