2.0 Speakers

Can anyone recommend a decent pair of these? if one exists with a remote that would be very handy

What about 2.1? A wired remote is more common with 2.1 speakers. How important is having a remote? Because I have rarely seen 2.0 speakers that have a remote, wired or wireless.

If you don't want a sub, what kind of money are you looking at spending?

not essential, just prefer something with some kind of power saving feature so its not on for hours burning juice, for a decent pair of speakers somewhere in the region of 70 to 100. can budgeo n that though

Mine have a good power saving feature, it's called a switch.

Creative T20 or T40. I've not yet heard any other stereo or 2.1 PC speakers that I would rate over something you could get for the price from a 2nd hand hi-fi shop.

I've not herd the Audioengine A2 or A5s though. They do have a very good reputation.

What about the Logitech Z520s? The Z10s are good I have heard, but the Z520s are newer, but aren't sold on OC for some reason. They seem to get all good reviews anyway. Thinking of getting some myself, as I don't need a sub.
