I might be going nuts. I keep hearing faint voices coming from somewhere, but if I try to listen in on it, it goes away. I'm underground, so there's no chance of a radio signal doing funny things with my appliances. The walls here aren't thin enough to listen in on other tenant's conversations or TV sounds. Besides, I also heard it in my car earlier.

Anyone have any ideas what's making the noise?

You're hearing what you want to hear, not what you're meant to hear - which is silence. It's a well known theory when people are scared or anxious.

In other words, man up.

'The voices' you hear in the room are the same as the ones in the car?

How much did you used to drink before you stopped?

You really need an outside source to not be hearing 'the voices' to know if they are hallucinations. This really isn't something that can be done over the Internet on some random forum.

Really this is something you'll need family / friends / doctors to help with.

I swear I'm not making it up. It's creepy.

The folk music i thought was a hint of troll [nvm], but either way, take your mind of it and do something else and see if it vanishes.

Out of curiosity, when you drank, did you used to go to a pub with folk music and drink there?

Voices or random pitched noise???
if voices your insane and i recommend you go to parilement and cause havoc their fore not a huge lose to humanity.
if random pitched noise check any electrical equipment by turning on and off till noise evaporates

Mystery. ******. Solved.

I turned off my computer because it makes a bit of a racket. The "faint noise" resolved itself to be the dulcet tones of Manu Chao singing "Me Gustas Tu". My mp3 player had been switched on in my bag. That's why I could hear it in the car too.

Well that was anticlimactic.

lol That really is kind of funny in a *****ing your pants 'I'm I going crazy' kind of way. Glad to hear it was nothing really in the end :)
