I used to watch the Bill was I was a nipper. I remembered it being okay. Can't say I watched it in the last decade though.

In fact, I can't remember the last time I watched ITV.

Agreed, was a great show back in the 80s, never recovered from the loss of Burnside and never really progressed.

Shouldn't be difficult for ITV, they scraped through the bottom of the barrel years ago.

Can't say I was a major fan but I didn't like the revamped bill as of late when the camera work changed. I never saw The Bill as too serious a show so when it changed it became more like a drama.

I fancied transferring to Sun Hill.

No paperwork, handing everything to CID who gladly accept it ( when in reality they tell you to papa oscar ) and case wrapped up by teatime just in time for a pint.

Also, I always thought that they would nab more villains in The Bill if they didn't shout OI ! at 100 yards and thus encouraging the suspect to take flight.

I used to love The Bill in the Burnside and Roach era but stopped watching it regularly when I joined the rozzers. I couldn't watch it without picking holes in it ... breach of PACE there .... can't do that. etc.
