Have sinitus but have a party tonight, good idea?

Well, I have been dying all day with sinusitis and I'm just about to get ready for a mates birthday party. My question is, has anyone had this or a flu/cold and been able to last the night drinking alcohol or have you faded?

This is not a medical thread and I am not looking for medical advice.

Neat vodka. Will get you drunk and blow your cold to smithereens. Only works with good vodka though.

If it is a good friend, then he/she will be glad you made the effort to go.

Go for 1-2 hours then go home early imo.

Get hammered. If I've got the flu coming on I go out on the bottle and it normally takes care of it.*

*I am not a medical professional, nor am I sanctioning binge drinking in an effort to rid yourself of an illness. Works for me though.

It does quite the opposite, though I too am not an actual medical professional

Alcohol can be used to disinfect wounds, drink enough of it and it will disinfect your insides.

Oh dear. Serious answer would be probably go if if was within a distance that you could leave when you had to. If if was out of the area and just the centre of a mad weekend then probably not.

Ask your doctor. On a related note, I had a work friend pass away from sinisitus a couple of years ago, it's not something to take lightly.

well guys, I went out doped up on sudafed and painkillers. Had a few shots of patron which made me feel a bit better amd a few drinks but I couldn't get drunk. I lasted the night which is good and I feel better today compared with yesterday but my sinuses seem worse
