Hey all i'm after a decent racing sim that doesnt need a steering wheel to enjoy.

The main requimeants are the sound i would like the engines to sound awesome, A good slection of cars old and new, be nice if you could customize them and tweak them.

Graphics dont have to be awesome so long as they run at a decent resultion.

Also would prefair it to manily focus on offline play as i pretty much suck and would get owned.

I tryed shift i enjoyed it but i didnt feel the cars was realistic enough.

I really enjoyed the gt5 time trail demo esspecily when turning the assists down or off.

From what you describing a proper sim isn't what you after at all but something more on the lines of Forza and GT, both of which unfortunately are available on PC. You could try downloading a GTR2 demo and see what that feels like with driver aids turned on.

SIMBIN's RACE 07 is decent with a gamepad.
GTR Evolution and RACE ON are addons for RACE 07.

GTR2 is an earlier Simbin game, and i do not think it is as 'pad friendly' as the Race 07 series of games.

The offline side consist of fully customisable leagues, allowing for your choice of car class and tracks.

A much more authentic experience of motorsport than Forza and Gran Turismo.

Will give some of theses a try on demo thanks guys :)

Downloading all the race 07 demos and add ons and steam, as well as a live for speed demo.

I remeber seeing a game on youtube gt legends i think it was called is that any good?

I liked both games but i didnt find live for speed very pad friendly, more a game for a streeting wheel i think. I really liked race 07 remidned me a lot of toca on the ps , really tempted to buy them.

Are they ever on offer with all the add ons?

Live for speed, I-racing Netkar pro and rfactor are the top sim racers on the pc imo, but from what you describe in your OP, you more after GTR-2 and the Race series of games I have a G25 but have played both GTR2 and GTR evo on a pad and both worked well.

Id buy those 2 GTRevo as a massive amount of addon content including 100's of cars, series and track a lot done to a very high standard, le mans for example is one of the best I've seen on any game and its absolutely free.

I would say from what i have played the gtr games and race games are more for me, turning the traction control off on gtr proved i'm not ready for full on racing sims yet :)
I actually span in the pits lol.

Well if you looking to invest GAME currently selling Race On for £9.99 which includes Race 07, STCC The Game, and 5 add on cars along with 2 new track I believe.
