i was just wondering if the on board gpus on some off the am3 boards where any good for light gaming and hd play back and what would be its equiverlent on nv's side as i already own a 8600gt cheers
 
I imagine the 8600gt will be considerably faster for gaming than the integrated Radeon HD4200.
 
depends what you call light gaming ... and what resolution your thinking of playing at . also it should be fine for older games ( say 4 years or more ) . also the 4200 gpu boards have hdmi slots so they are already set-up for playing hd content = more than up to the job

as an example my sig has setup eats everything i need it to do
