A couple of ST220 questions

I would like to mention that Ford have forgotten how to make wheels that last more than 5 mins so expect any car to need a wheel refurb and new centre caps.

How low is low?

23, but that is all around town. On a motorway run at 80-85ish I get 32.

Oh and to build on Janesy's point - if they still have their diamond cut finish they will corrode. Mine have had a cheap refurb by the previous owner - just painted and lacquer. I'm getting them stripped, primed, baked, painted, lacquered etc in the summer. I've be quoted £57 per wheel.

Crap cars

The Sony 6CD headunit is utter crap and that got ripped out within a month of ownership and replaced with a Blaupunkt one. Also fitted a sub. The standard speakers are decent enough.

Can't really add anymore to be honest as it's already been said that it's a good car and much better than a 2.0 Accord.

What's sensible money for one of these then? £5K get a good 'middle of the road' miles one? That one in the OP at £3,800 seems really cheap but I dunno what they go for usually?

I think 3k is absolutely bottom of the pile, going up for about 10k

I looked at them during my recent car search early on and i kind of found that..

* <£4000 = something you really wouldn't want to touch.
* £5000 = almost the going rate for old pre-facelift ones on highish mileage.
* £6000+ = where it starts to become the 04 plate ones, facelifted, nicer dash etc on lower miles.

I guess from what i saw, they didn't offer amazing value for money right now? its as if they've definitely gone up a fair bit since 6 months ago.

It's a hatch. I only paid £6500 at 25,000 miles!

Description sounds good. FSH. Howard just needed to check that the bushes/rear bumper is ok and the car is rust free and then it would be a decent car for a decent price.
