xbox 360 - 1 wireless adapter on two boxes?

hi there,

I'm off to pick up a wireless adapter for my elite tomorrow. I also have an arcade which the kids use. Can I use the single wireless adapter and swap it between the two xbox when I want to connect either boxes to live?

You wont be able to have both online at the same time, but yes its like a network card you could swap it to any number of machines and go online.

Cool. So it isn't tied into the console in any way... good.

I'm not trying to be cheap but I don't want my kids on live just yet, but there are some things on the arcade they want to purchase. S I'll attached the adapter to their xbox, login with my account, purchase said games and then logout and put the adapter back n my elite again.

Watch out when purchasing titles under a different account. All purchases are tied to the account and the console. That means if you buy them on the kids' console you should be fine, but if it ever need replacing you'll probably find the games won't work unless you're signed in or have used the license transfer tool thingy.

You may also want to look at powerline adapters for the kids. Nice thing with a powerline is you can just flick the switch off (downstairs) and poof, their internet connection is gone. I have a couple of friends that use this method to control their kids console / pc access to the net. One of them even has his on a time switch, so that at 9.00pm at night the powerline to the kids rooms switch off and return at 6pm at night (after homework).
