Hey guys,

Just received an email from Turbine announcing a full digital download of all expansions and the game for $9.99!

Even though i didn't get into it much, at this price i think i'll give it another go!

Not sure, i think it's around 9.99, like most MMO's, but you get 30 days free game time.

Great price, but as its Turbine it will highly likely only work on US servers as the EU ones are run by codemasters and have different clients.

Beats me, have you ever had a turbine account for anything? I used to have an EU LOTRO account and havent had an email.

Could be that it works on EU too, but generally Turbine LOTRO and Codemasters LOTRO tend to keep their deals seperate.

What Tombstone said, plus Turbine only operate US side therefore your serial will be tied to their servers. I also wouldn't expect Codemasters to take this offer up anytime soon as they never seem to follow suit with similar offers.

DDO is also a turbine game with eu servers run by Codemasters. I've had no problems playing on the US servers for that game, maybe it will be ok for Lotro too.

Oh there is nothing to stop you from playing on the US servers.

You just cannot do it with a codemasters account and you cannot do it with the EU LOTRO client. You must have a turbine account and you must use the US LOTRO client. Other than that though there no issue with playing on US servers from the EU (aside from potential timezone issues). Just dont be expecting to pay this money and then be able to play on the EU servers.

I played this for like a week and played on the US servers fine, just wasn't for me! Just wasn't anyone on my time apart from the person i was playing with.
