Call of Duty 7: Black Ops

I will also wait for reviews from gamers not websites.

Wish I had never bought the pile of doo doo they call mw2. Cant even sell the damn thing as its locked to steam meh

Hopefully they add a mode in there that strips away all the stupid kill streaks/death streaks/helicopters/nukes and all that other bs that ruined mw2.

I wouldn't take that bet if i were you. If its going to sound cool to your average moron when he reads it on the box/website they'll try and put it in. I mean seriously, was the zombiemod the developers did actually any good?

I agree with 'Wes, BC2 is so much better than MW2 (and I'm one to love the CoD series!(
I think Cod need to go back to Cod2 style.. that was the best they ever made me thinks.
As some german guy said to me once "MW2 is like hollywood, BC2 is like Cannes"

Generally not interested now, but if they do listen to the PC community and include dedi servers amongst other things I *may* give it a look.

Iirc the problem with cod:waw was, there was some pretty big bugs like the maps and sound problems and Treyarch seemed to be dragging their heals getting them fixed.

Still have not bought MW2, and I never will.

Dedicated servers + regular pricing instead of Activision pricing + no Guiter Hero arcade crap whatever they were planning + adjustable FOV and they can have my money. I really liked WaW multiplayer despite it being a carbon copy of CoD4. Just something about those WW2 guns I prefer over the guns of today.

Besides I think I'm pretty safe in saying they will fail at least of my conditions :)

this will be basted on conflicts that has already happened? just MW1 but with different mission names and soilder names.

so in effect its Call of Duty: Rainbow 6......

way to keep ur brand unique IW/Activision

Tbh MW: 2 wasnt even worthy of the CoD tag and i doubt this one will be.

I got MW: 2 played the multiplayer 3 times... BC 2 however ive already spent more than 24 hours on the multi in about a week and a half.

Not buying another CoD game ever, IW dont know what made their games good and it shows now. Sad Times :(

right thread this time:

Ooo yay more rehashed boring same old same old crud. Oh wait, ZOMBIES? Damn, didn't see that coming! It might be right on the edge of an era, where loads of games will be made containing zombies?

Oh yeah, that passed.

Agreed, all that stuff was another reason it was wrecked just too many kill streak stuff going on, it was better in COD4 where you only had 3 options, so I think they should still have kill streaks/support but limit it to 3 and have a much higher kill limit so you'd only see them rarely. If you limit these things more like killstreaks when somebody receives one on your team, it would be more of a yay this could help us win the game wicked! Instead of oh, sombodies got another AC130 woopie, anybody understand what I mean?

The last good COD was the 4th, they need a drastic change in the way they play out singleplayer and multiplayer OR decide if they will be MP only, they need to do a full renewal of their engine as well, it's getting to much of same old, same old

I am simply not interested in the MP aspect so i will probably end up picking it up an age after its released and play the sp which all seem to be pretty awesome, shame they don't last very long tho :(

Really enjoyed WaW so I will be picking this up. Good to hear Zombie mode is back and I really like the sound of this potentially taking place over a couple of decades.

Unless they listen to pc gamers, they can go and suck something... Certainly won't get a penny from me after the mw2 fiasco, in fact, I regret buying WaW for them to use it on making MW2... Dedi servers or FO...

The sp was enjoyable, but not worth 60€, I'd pay a fiver to a tenner at most for a 4 hour sp game...
They however, made it more expensive than most games on release, still keeping prices quite high, and completely ruining MP to a level where it's ****.

EDIT:

Noob failure ( didn't read the whole OP), dedi servers are in, hmmmmmmmmmm, hard choice.
I'll probably wait to see how the game is received and rated, and then make up my mind if I shall pay acti another penny...

If they would re-add dedi severs to MW2 by patch however, I'd be much much more forgiving.

Found this on CVG forum site

Call of Duty 7 - long rumoured to be set in Vietnam - will feature the custom killstreaks introduced in Modern Warfare 2.

That's according to the eagle-eyed super-fans at CoD Vietnam News, who've dug through Treyarch's recent forum comments with a fine comb to compile a list of things we know about the next Call of Duty (which admittedly isn't much).

Apparently, the developer's 'Treyarch dev Vahn' (real name David Vonderhaar - Multiplayer Design Director for the upcoming CoD game) has strongly suggested the firm will ditch a lot of the imbalances of MW2 multiplayer, including the Commando perk and the controversial nuke killstreak.

Previous rumours suggested the game will be called 'Black Ops' and feature SAS missions in Iran, according to an 'Activision insider'.

Here's what they came up with:

* While they've tried having custom killstreaks for each class, that seemed to complicate the 'purity and speed' of Create a Class.
* Consequently, it's fair to assume that customizable killstreaks are all but confirmed.
* At this stage in development, killstreaks stack and carry over if you die, but do not contribute to further killstreaks (hence eliminating the 'camping for killstreaks' problem of Modern Warfare 2).
* Treyarch are not fans of Commando, the extended melee range perk in Modern Warfare 2, and it is unlikely to return.
* They've tried a 'manned' version of the Sentry Gun killstreak, but weren't fans.
* We may well see a return to pistols as the only available sidearm, or perhaps a choice between pistols and launchers. Vahn and many of the team are not fans of shotguns and machine pistols as secondary weapons - it gives a player 'too much firepower'.
* The knife may well become a secondary weapon - although Vahn didn't want to say too much.
* Finally, don't expect the nuke to return as a killstreak. Vahn says they are not fans of a game-ending killstreak

Very sceptical and will await reviews, not going to dismiss the game but am damn glad to hear someone lost there job at IW in relation to the poor decisions made with MW2, shame it wasnt that turdwad in charge of public relations or some other tripe ridden profession amongst the firm, you guys know who im on about the turd who came out saying it will be fine just wait and see.

'Last but not least, dedicated servers will also be part of the new Call of Duty game, much to the delight of PC gamers across the world. After Activision fired Vince Zampella and Jason West from Infinity Ward, it seems like they are taking yet another step back from the direction they had taken with Modern Warfare 2 by re-adding dedicated servers."

Why would anyone honestly believe this, i strongly believe everything bad about MW2 was Activisions doing. Simple.
