Hi I'm after buying a pump for my new watercooling build and I was wondering do you think the:

XSPC Laing DDC-Pump 12V Pro

Will be powerful enough for cooling CPU & 2x GPU's?

I cant link you too the product as OCUK doesnt seem to have it and linking it from anywhere else is well, ILLEGAL!!! ¬.¬

:) thanks for reading

With an aftermarket top of the Laing (guessing its a xspc one)
and a single 360/480 low restriction rad - (PA, RX, feser)
and any new cpu block (apart from the EK supreme or KL cpu-350)
you'll be fine.

If using a thin rad and/or lots of 45/90 connectors and/or the EK go for the ultra version

Well you seem like you know what your talking about the rad is a "XSPC RS360 Radiator" CPU block is going to be either "Zalman WB5 plus" or a "Swifttech Apogiee GTZ" and the res would be the "EK400RES2 Multioption RES 400 Rev2 (400ml capacity)".

I'm very new to this and trying to build a quality watercooling setup within the next few weeks. I'd look more into this stuff but I'm really busy with college and work at the moment. Kinda just getting my head around fittings/compression block sizes etc. :/

You mean the Liang Pumps here...

Phil

Ah I see, I was going to buy it from some where else and on another picture it shows the pump not the res so I was under the assumption OCUK didnt have it when browsing. So does this mean it has to use that type of res??? I wanted to use a "Multioption RES 400 Rev2"

You will be able to use it with that res but you will still need to change the top to an aftermarket one, I would recommend the XSPC or the Alphacool tops to use, though the XSPC non-res version is meant to be better but I think it only allows input and output from the front whereas the alphacool has a 2nd input on the top of it too (if you wanted the water flowing in vertically with say the res mounted above it)

If I'm not mistaken, the XSPC DDC pumps are just the Laing pumps with a res on top. If you wanted to use a seperate reservoir, you can, just buy the pump on it's own, and connect them.

Would need an aftermarket top to get different barb sizes

Info is there, the res will work with any pump and i recommended two tops that would be ideal for it, depending on how the outlet of the res was going to go to the inlet of the pump
