Some prefer, some don't. Because you can kill quicker doesn't make it easy mode.

Funnilly enough the people shooting at you are just as deadly.

To be honest, hardcore is were its at. You have to think twice about running to the next hill, looking out over a hill or just popping your head up for a second.

On noob mode, you could run all the way to point, two 1 million rounds and still not die.

I think you've got the names wrong. Its Normal Mode and Camping Noob Mode.

I do fondly remember taking the Blackhawk on the Jungle, crashing on the roof of the left point, setting the charge and destroying it in about 30 seconds

Totally agree. Play what you what to play and let others play what they want to play. Afterall if you play hardcore and somebody plays normal, its not like your going to meet each other in game anyways.

I think you've got the names wrong. Its Normal Mode and Camping Noob Mode.

I play normal from time to time, and if your naive to think there isn't a camper problem on Normal then thats your problem.

I bought BC2 for my bro at the wknd but it runs like pants on his PC:

C2D E2160 @ 3.1GHz
4GB PC6400 DDR2
GTX 260 216
P35 DS3R
Samsung 1TB F3​

All settings on low at 1920x1080, Bloom and HBAO off - only gets between 15-30 fps in Fraps. Changing to 1600x900 and some medium settings not only looks crap but doesnt boost fps. I also tried changing the render ahead limit to 0 but no difference.

I guess it could be the limitation of the E2160 but there are people on here playing medium settings with E6300 and 8800GT at 1680x1050 so it would seem odd that it should cause the low fps.

Help appreciated.

I have been having so many problems with this game and I believe all my problems are cured. Was running it with XP (rig in sig) and was having so many issues. Bought Win7 and a little 30gb SSD for it and got it installed yesterday. Am now running with settings all on high and getting no less than 50 FPS at any time. No crashing & no black screens.

I think there is a lot of CPU intensive elements to BC2. Try forcing DX9 see if that helps.

There is also an entire core dedicated to Sound I believe so everything else is running on the one core. Drop shadows down, that killed my Core2.

Also try installing newest GFX drivers. Had an issue after latest patch with old drivers.

And if you can't aim and kill a player in less than 5-10 bullets on normal mode then thats your problem. I can do this all night and it won't go anywhere, i was making a point that his claim was bull****.

I can aim... and I can kill in normal.

Quite a few screenshots posted up here to back up that fact. But you comment about the n00b camping mode is pretty much a blanket statement for BC2 in general, its not a problem isolated to Hardcore.

Infact I said camping was not isolated to either mode...which you implied was a hardcore problem.

Sometimes I kill people in a few shots, sometimes I dont. Aim I wish I had the reflexes of superman. Everyone is different. Eye hand coordination is different for everyone.

So who cares if sometimes you dont get a head shot kill (snipers exculded). I have killed people by shooting them in the legs.
