Have they changed the taste of Sailor Jerry's?

I went to a bar the other night and purchased what I was hoping to be the delicious Sailor Jerry's and coke long time fans have come to know and love.

Instead of tasting the delectable flavourings of rum and vanilla, I was greeted instead by a rather flat tasting and generic rum taste, slightly spicy with a strong absence of anything even remotely similar to the vanilla I had come to love.

Anyone else noticed this? I'm sad

I think the more sensible conclusion would be that the bar has put something cheap and nasty in the bottle and is passing it off as sailor Jerry's to make more profit.

Indeed, it's always been rum...

But yes, Sailor Jerrys has been changed recently, it's not popular with it's fans!

I used to drink it, but I seem to have moved more towards Havana Club of recent times.

The taste has definitely been changed, about the same time as the label design on the bottle changed.

Rum and coke is an awesome drink, once 3 peices of lime have been added

. But Sailor Jerry's is hardly a good quality rum worthy of being drunk neat lol.

I've heard from a few people that it's changed... I'm not greatly happy about this.

Out on sat so will have a try.

As for drinking neat........... yeah, ok.

It's changed, yes, the barman in wetherspoons even gave us a leaflet when we went to ask wtf he'd just sold us.

It's quite horrible now

Without, a peg leg and/or parraot is mandatory though.

Im living in Korea and the awful news got to me pretty quick. Lucky my mate saved me a bottle from his bar to be consumed on my return. A sad day for all
