What flaming MUPPET at DICE decided that the LMG should be a sniping weapon. I had a bad night on a rush map last night and kept getting sniped by this one guy. I ended up repeatedly being pushed right back to my base after respawning and dying repeatedly.

I am missing the game while I'm away with work :(

I was wondering when a Saiga chat would start on here. Fortunately for me, I am usually on Kearney and Hippos team, so I don't notice too much :D I only use it myself when I'm on an armour heavy map and I want C4. C4'ing tanks is an awesome rush :D

nor can I, I have worked hard with the shotgun as a sniper to unlock the VSS and M95 awesome sniper rifles and now i can get better a sniping best marksman score so far is 157 :(

I can work with the second sniper rifle you get, it has a quick refire rate and the aiming is a lot better in my opinion. I also use it for close range combat as well.

New Maps Getting installed this Morning;

At around 09:00 GMT March 30th, EA-IT will be conducting maintenance on the
Plasma environmental back-end. This is expected to last approximately 1 hour
and all BC2 game servers will be unavailable during this period.

Shortly after the maintenance window, we will enable Map Pack 2. The new
maps can be added to your rotation by editing the maplist.txt under Default
Configs Files within our Game Panel.

The new maps are as follows:

levels/mp_006cq Conquest Arica Harbor

levels/mp_009gr Rush Laguna Presa

Kind regards

Hey guys

My brother wants to play this game, but hes got a slow system. Amd 3200, 2gb ram, 6600gt - do you think there would be anyway to play this game on that system?

I know min. specs are core 2 duo, just curious to see if anyone has run this game on a Socket 939 system?

Info appriciated.

Just picked up the game and spent a good 4 hours on multiplayer yesterday. Probably all been said before but here's my thoughts:

1st initial impressions:

Positives: sweet graphics, runs great, seems stable, love destructible environment
Negatives: too may snipers and LMG's, balance issues, small maps, not enough varied maps, console orientation, small teams/squads

Also finding it v.tough with only a few unlocks - my K/D is 0.6; in BF2 it was well over 2.5. I've been an avid BF player since 1942 - played them all, must have racked up 1000's hours over the last 8 years.

I've got this nagging feeling that despite the great things in BC2 I'll find myself gravitating back to Battlefield 2 after a short while. Although BF2 isn't as nice to look at, and I'd really miss the destructible stuff :( , there is just so much more 'depth' with vanilla BF2 and especially the mods I play (FH2 and PR).

One thing is for sure...Battlefield 3 has the potential to be immense.

Got this week off (wife and kids still at work and school :D) so I'll fire up BC2 and see if I can get more into it.

Eh? The GOL is far superior to the M95 for pretty much all purposes.

Lol @ the weapon stats. M60 clearly overpowered and overused. Knife is surprisingly high, didn't expect it to be second. Clearly the noob tube is overused and needs its spammability toning down.

I hate mortar's.

Despite q highlight's an enemy on the radar for a brief period of time, i think that there should be some other way without q, that flashes a certain building/area white on your radar if an enemy fires a weapon.

The problem im seeing is a lot of m60 medic noobs, who are purely using the class to rack up kills and so on and not bothered about dropping med packs or even reviving you even though you died 2 inches from them , that and the mass of freaking snipers/m60 snipers that make it hard to get close to the targets kinda ruins the fun a little for me.

I agree, medics do squat.

I dont know why everyone thinks the GOL is so good, it reloads slower than the M24, Clip change is slower than the M24, less powerful than the M24 and the Crosshair in the scope is awful.
