How safe is it too sell on OCUK market place..

I've never had a bad deal on MM, but had a few people not leave feedback (and ashamedly I've forgotten a few too, sorry)

I love the MM and ive had a fair few bargains as well, the last one being an X-Fi Elite Pro for a bargain-acious £55

But then ive also sold a fair bit of stuff at bargain prces when ive been skint :p

On a related note, has anyone else noticed how cheeky people are getting with their 'offers' on stuff these days? It used to be that you'd give a price and people would offer near that and you'd come to some sort of agreement, but it seems like these days you're almost guaranteed to get someone offering, say, £20 for a £35 item.

I know it's not doing any real harm, but it does undermine the seller a bit.

The offers are sometimes ridiculous, even though there's a rule about not making derisory ones I've not seen it moderated (even after reporting a post). I just ignore them to be honest if they're that bad.

It's as safe as you make it.

This really, as long as you keep in very good coms with your buyer/seller you don't really have any problems to be honest. Always send things via recorded delivery and file yourself a copy of the delivery information and make sure you get the person exactly what has been advertised without being "underhand" with key facts

The only problem I have with the MM is the insistent offers in the first reply of around 20% lower than the asking price, no matter the item. It's a **** take sometimes.

I did have a bad experience on MM. The seller (longstanding member, but no longer with us) sent the item standard delivery when I'd paid for special. Surprise surprise it went missing in the post. He refunded two thirds of my money, which at the time I was happy with - but in hindsight I should have demanded it all back.

I love scouting the MM for stuff to buy. Never had a problem once, I think it may be because you do get a lot of like minded people due to the nature of the forum. Which is nice.

Selling stuff has always been a breeze to. Much better than losing cash to paypal and ebay on thats for sure

According to the Bible, slavery is OK as long as they are from a neighbouring country. Apparently an Englishman can have a Welshman as a slave, but not a Frenchman.
