I know there are quite a few Bristol residents on here. Do any of you know of a watersports centre near the city?

Somewhere with similar facilities to Nottinghams National Watersports Centre would be perfect. I've taken up wakeboarding and I'd like to carry on when I get back to Uni. The Notts facility has a permanent wire rope circuit for pulling you around the lake on your board, is a bit easier and obviously cheaper than following a boat. Tried to look on Google but not come up with anything.

Cheers

cable wakeboard...whoop whoop. :)

the nearest one to you is cirencester. dont worry, its a good one. yet to go, but people will travel from afar to go there.

My local is notts (+sheffield)...i must have seen you at it at some point, i literally spent the whole of summer 09 there.

Its gonna be a good year for notts cable. Even more new obstacles to hit, some kind of massive blue monster slider. More comps + investment from the council. The locals are awesome aswell, Edd (the operator) + zander and will (the wakeskate kids) will answer any question you have Alex.

welcome to the club.

You don't get much city-centre (save some rowing, and dinghy sailing at Baltic Wharf), and I think the nearest decent lake is Chew Valley but it's probably very saily too...
