longer dvi to dvi cable help.

hi all

I am after a 3 monitor setup and i was woundering where to get a very high quality dvi to dvi cable about 3m long ?

is there any good ones or bad ones

and they actually state they do 2048 x 1536 @ 60Hz or 1920 x 1080 @ 85Hz there thick and seem to be of high quality

are they gold plated at all ? as the pictures seem to not show this, also are these the dual version cables to use with a 2560x1440 Resolution monitor do they have all the pins

Gold plating is pretty much a gimmick really.

Yes these are the dual link capable cables, that support the resolution you need.

The pins are indeed gold plated.

Use 2x DVI to HDMI adapters and then buy a length of HDMI cable (thats what I would do)

Gold plating is useless.

I recently bought 3x 5m Dual link DVI to HDMI cables for about £4 each.

ok but the cable must be top quality ? not to bothered about paying £13 for it just want to make sure it will not degrade the picture quality at all.

is there a better cable or is this the best one to get as i just want to make sure there is no loss in picture quality at that res

The signal is digital. Higher quality cable simply doesn't matter at this length, so long as the wires are continuous.

If you are doing 3 monitors, is this eyefinity or something else? If its eyefinity then I think you need 1 DisplayPort connection (either to a DP monitor or using an adapter to a DVI/HMDI monitor).

it will be for a 3 monitor setup 2 on dvi and 1 on dp but the right monitor will reach which will be the dp its the centre and left that will not reach and on dvi
