Right the background story, recently split up with my girlfriend and I have been driving her car around (Purple 05 Micra) so been driving the most girly car possible. Now because of recent events I'm now considering getting a car of my own.

Main issue here is insurance, every car I've found interesting comes with an insane £2000 insurance premium!

I'm 21 with 0NCB but done pass plus living in the S9 area of Sheffield, can anyone recommend anything that isn't boring which would be insurable for me? I do minimal miles and I'm open to any sensible suggestions :D

Thanks guys!

Ahh knew I'd miss something, budget around £2000 if thats realistic? Maybe a lil more if justified

Well some quick quotes run through the comparison sites show Fiesta Zetec S, Saxo VTR, 106Gti around the £1800 mark

VW Lupo. :D
Amazing little cars if tricked out properly but don't forget the G60 brake conversion a. :p

Thanks for all the suggestions guys I'll run a few quotes, and the comments about my area are about right! Carlisle Street is dreadful to drive down, more potholes than tarmac lol

Hmm your area must be really bad?

I paid under 2k for a Nissan Skyline when i was 20 with 1y NCB

You can't ask for a warm/hot hatch. It's either one or the other. And both types of cars demand different costs.

For £2000 you have a variety of warm hatches to choose from, but they won't be great in terms of condition or even performance.
