Had a gtx275 before hitting about 45c idle, 85-90c load, silly temps and was loud.Now i got a vapor-x 5870, hitting 32-35c idle, 50-55c load in bfbc2.:)

Also my settings went from 1920x1200, 2xaa, 16xaf, dx10 to 1920x1200 to 8xmsaa, 16xaf, hbao on, dx11 and i have to say the game is a lot more smoother.(think i get 60-80fps constant, it's really high anyway.)

I can't even hear the card at all, pc is very silent, i am very happy glad i got one of these instead of a fermi.

Any games i should try? stalker call of pripyat? dirt 2 any good?

Firstly gratz on the new card. Give call of Pripyat a try. Very good game. I've tried it on my 4870 512 mb card and get -30-35 fps at 1680/1050 everythng max. Cnt say wat dx11 is like n it tho. If u gt it running please send me sum snappies :)

Tried avp just now, plays it with ease in dx11 also temp went 49c max, gtx275 hit 88c in it lol and thanks for suggestions will try those.:) (dx11 seems to look pretty damn good though in avp)

I've never played just cause, got it but not started yet so think i should play the first one before second. On stalker clearsky at the moment but might try out pripyat to just have a sneak preview of the gfx for a few mins.:D

Damn i might get a 2nd in 2 weeks.;)

I do not think it's quite as good as the first though i've not completed it yet so i can't compare them proper.By the way just tried Batman, super sampling AA(?) or whatever it is makes the game look absolutely amazing.

I'll try clearsky and pripyat tomorrow, off to bed, gn and hope anyone else who gets a 5870 appreciates the happiness you receive from it.:)

Nice purchase! If you're new to ATI, make sure you enable 'Adaptive Antialiasing' in the Catalyst Control Center for transparency AA - slight performance hit but huge quality improvement :)

Hi Syncho

I too have just received two Vapor X 5870s. They are awesome. Only problem is not being able to adjust the voltage but clocked at 875/1250 as standard will give you awesome framerates.

Have fun!
