A random thread I know but it appears certain parts of London are without the internet. My mother just rang, she works in the City of London next to Barbican station, she claims quite a lot of others are affected. An exchange got flooded. Has anyone heard about this yet? Skimming some news sites but nothing so far. Can anyone provide information is possible please?

Just to make you aware, the Paddington BT Exchange has had a flood resulting in many customers experiencing problems with their telephone lines. The outages apply to other carriers too, not necessarily just BT lines.

We'll provide you with another update when we know everything has been resolved.

We can't make out bound calls for now, inbound is ok!

Dunno why but this reminded me of the South Park episode where the internet goes down and everyone's running around asking to use internet :D

our dev servers are on the local network so it really wouldn't bother us tbh :( although our live servers are somewhere else but that doesn't matter.

we can't make any outbound calls either - from great portland street/oxford street.

O2 have been sending me service updates all morning about this, and Scotland/NI....

Wondered what happened.
