21 years old and have attempted a few times to cut down on food.

I am a size 34 waist and 15 stone so i am overweight. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week so now i need to sort out the diet!

I have attempted low calorie diets but they make me feel hungry 24/7. Last for two weeks than back to normal. A few things stuck such as not eating chocolate and crisps but that's about it.

I like the look of low carbs, i can eat meats that make me feel full and i realy love eggs and chicken and stuff like that! Unfortunately im very fond to bread pasta and pizza but i can cut it.

Can anyone give me some tips on the first 2 weeks how many grams of carbs should i have? I started today and with my calculations did about 50g of carbs.

I am struggling with carbs for breakfast at work. We dont have any cooking faculties so all i can do is toast or ceral. None of them any good for low carbs.

Any other normal low carb food meals i can try? I am not a good cook or have a great income so i cant be doing with too many exotic things.

Thanks guys

Im starting my cut tomorrow and if I don't have time for eggs some All Bran or Special K shouldn't be too bad a substitute. They're pretty low in the GI so consider them 'good' carbs.

Salads, salads and more salad. Don't have the same salad every day mix it up a little, so one day have spinich next day spring onions etc. etc. otherwise you will get bored very quickly. A little drizzle of salad dressing ain't going to kill you either. Same with meat, mix it up. Also lots of fish Mackreal, tuna etc. I have been having shrimp lately aswell. Drink lots of water.

Best tip I can give you though besides the usual (i.e. eat 5 small meals to stop you feeling hungry with plenty of protein as this stops the hunger also) is just to prepare. You won't last if you don't prepare good meals and plan ahead for when you are going to eat. It's not easy but can be done.

I realy hate fish and i dont think i can do salads all the time its just not something im in to. GIVE ME MEAT NOM NOM :D

I would have breakie at home but im NEVER up on time its always a dash and a rush to get to work :D

How much grams in carbs should i aim for?

I'm not a keto expert but why not prepare something the night before? Scrambled eggs at work is great but things like boiled eggs (maybe chopped up with mayo for some fats) can be kept in the fridge overnight.

shouldn't your carbs be fibrous? stuff like Brocolli/Asparagus/Beans (the green type) rather than breads and pasta?

Yea i think making something the night before may be best.

One problem i think im going to have is getting bored with salad/egg/cheese/chicken

What other meats are a good for low carb?

Then get up earlier - if you want to do things properly you need the dedication not a half hearted attempt.

There's so much you can do and it's easier if you're willing to put a bit of effort in at home.
