No problem but it was comments like some of the above that made me decide to get away from kids.
The final straw was when I was giving a lesson on Infection Control and Hand Washing Techniques.
I move down to the Skills Lab that looks like a ward and to demonstrate how easy it is to transfer bacteria, I sit on the edge of a hospital bed and get one of the kids to touch my arm when they have a pretend bacteria cream on their hands.
After the lesson, one of the adults who came with the kids, actually asked me if I thought it was appropriate to let a child touch me on the arm while I was sitting on a bed
Amazingly I made no comment that behind the backs of the children, the 4 female adults were pulling down the trousers on the male clinical mannekin with full parts.
Surely that comment from the adult said more about their own paranoia and distorted world-view than it did about your practice.
You should have set them straight in a constructive way and carried on with your methods. Easy for me to be wise though, I'd probably be dumb struck too in that situation.
I can see why you may have begun to question yourself though, it must get demoralising after a while.
