Guessing this card would beat Fermi.

The new MATRIX 5870 lays down the law with prodigious computing muscle. It has 2GB of GDDR5 RAM running at 4.8GHz, true 256-bit interface, and 894MHz core clock.

I m guessing they up the clock speeds for 2D

As GPUs have 2 modes 3D were they get their true clock speeds (or overclocked)

When not doing much the card goes down to 2D speeds which I believe is the problem with ATI cards on win7

Why drop one of the DVI ports though? Would have made that much of difference to put it on there and share the output with the HDMI connector?
