Best TV Tuner

I am looking at getting a TV Tuner as my Desktop is in spare room so i dont have the TV so i want a GOOD quality TV Tuner, i have seen some that are VERY poor quality i have a VERY nice monitor and i want to take advantage of that so what is the best TV Tuner (Built In) for under £100

I've got a Hauppage HVR-1100 I think it is, and it's superb. It doesn't seem to be on the site though, probably because it's a fairly old model. Now that the digital switchover is upon us there's less difference between the actual tuner quality though.

I have both the Hauppauge WinTV Nova HD S2 (Freesat) and Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT (Freeview) working well with Win 7 MediaCenter...

okay thanks, sounds like Freesat wouldnt be the right option.
i am correct in thinking channels like E4 which i watch a lot are NOT free on Freesat?
and that i must have a sat dish in order to use it? guess i will stick with Freeview

how would i go about getting this to work? it says that i need a satellite
so i would have to spend extra and go out and buy a satellite dish as well?
what would i need to be able to watch (if possible) the HD channels?
is there a like a topup TV option for them to add more channels?

You could get sky to installa dish for you i think its £30 for installation and whatever for the dish.

All you need for HD channels is a decent Graphics card and a high resolution monitor.

great thats that out of the window, not the HD part i am sure my Dell SP2309w + 5850 should be able to do that
but as i dont pay the rent where i am staying i cant really get a huge dish or anything installed

guess it will be freeview for now

I am pretty sure the land owner would be pleased you purchased a satellite for there house it means they have better signal for free XD

The Council usually dont like people doing things like that
and as i am not the rent payer i dont think it would be allowed for me to do this
guess i will ahve to wait til i get my own place, i guess i will have to take my girlfriend with me
