XFX ATI Radeon HD 5970 Black Edition 2048MB GDDR5

Finally got my 1000 clock stable.

I can't figure out how to snip. = fail

Danny how did you get beyond the 1000 clock?
Also, i just noticed i didn't adjust any memory voltage. Is it even needed?

Cant see your pic.( How to find snip tool: Go to start Start then in the box type snip tool, you will see the app.click it and there ya go.)

You have to remember iam pumping sub zero coolant round my system so that will help.
other than that just set all the volts to max and away you go. Ye i set the mem voltage to 1.15 but not sure if it helps.

well Danny and dissy, I don't know what else to say other than if and when your respective other halves do bury you both alive can we snag your cards? :D :p

But in all seriousness fellas I couldnt justify buying two 5970s, then I wouldnt justify buying the 2GB or 4GB BE versions either. And I'm single :D lol

are those 24/7 clocks and could you post a bigger pic cause im getting a 5970 soon and would like to know your settings.

In my case the 24/7 clocks are 960/1250 1.1625V and 1.15V. When it was on stock cooler my clocks where 900/1200 same Volts.

CK61938: Thats why we have got these cards cos we are not single. We need something fun to do :)

was contemplating getting a 480 until the reviews/benches came out. now i am considering getting a 5970 or 2 x 5870 vapor x. which would be the better option? or would you wait for the 5990? at the moment i am just running a 7900 gt and not really using the pc for gaming. other gear, i7 930 at 4ghz, h50 cooler, 6gb ddr 3 ram, ex 58 ud5, 800D case, 1000w collermaster psu. will 2 x vapor x run more efficiently and quieter than the 5970?

Depends on your plans, if you think you might in the future have a spare 500 quid I would get a 59 so you can double up. If not 2x5870s will be faster to start. Wouldn't bother with the vapors just get the cheapest I have had a std 5870 and it over clocked like a gudun.

Abs,

I'd go with the 5970 tbh and not 5870's. Sure 2 5870's are faster now slightly but if you EVER need to, you could just add another 5970. Plus, its cheaper too... :)
