Did you watch the Vancouver Olympics? Exactly what have the UK got to put in an opening/closing ceremony to be 'nationally proud' of?

Racism? Fish and chips? Chavs? Oh yeah... Brian May and red double-decker buses. Great.

No country is perfect, what does aussies have, BBQs, kangaroos and convicts etc etc etc.

The Olympic regeneration project looks pretty impressive to me considering what was there before and is under budget and on schedule. This sculpture is also almost free.

Not much to complain about really.


The Manchester one is cooler and it is a shame it is falling to bits, infact is it even still there?

It looks like a completely unnecessary and pointless (and downright butt ugly) waste of money to me.

Personally I wouldn't pay £19m for a lump of scrap metal, but never mind, it's only our money.

Personally I'm undecided, on the one hand it looks striking and memorable, but on the other it looks like a collapsed scaffolding

I don't really like it :/

Sorry - but that looks rubbish.

Take a look at older designs from past olympics to see how it should be done.

Barcelona / Montreal knew how to do it....... Surely we can't get this wrong as well after that horror of a logo.

This tells me nothing and is an aesthetical disater. Even Beijings appears better & that was pretty dire.
