I need a 100mg weight to calibrate my 0.01g acurate digital scale. Can any OCukers advise me where I can find such a thing? Online or in store I don't mind.

Weigh several folder pieces of paper, say 10g worth, and work out the area required for a piece to weigh 100mg. Carefully cut it and go from there.

Alternatively, a sheet of 80gsm paper would require a 35.3mm square piece of paper for 100mg. It should be pretty accurate too.

I don't think you will find a 100mg weight, the thing would be tiny, I would imagine just touching it would add several mg of dirt.

What could you possibly be measuring in such small quant.... ohhhhh. :P

Maybe he's the only person in Britain who has a small digital balance who actually uses it for something other than drug dealing?

And for the OP: try Fisher Scientific, Cole-Palmer or VWR. They're pretty pricey though.

Search for calibration weight.
Before you buy, read up on which standard you need or want eg. M1, F1. The standards define how accurate they will be.

100mg E2 ~£25 + VAT

Ask your local dealer where he gets his callibration stuff from so you can get a group discount. Seems the obvious answer :D
