What is the best ?

dgnd3500
dgnd3300
dgnd2000

are they all broadcom chipsets ?

need something that is SNR moddable like the AWSOME DG834GT
wth Dgteam firmware ect ect

or is it best just to repurchase the dg834GT money is no question when it comes to routers.

well i have decided between these 2 routers

NETGEAR WNDR3300-100UKS Rangemax Dual Band Wireless Router - 802.11 n, 4-port switch

or

NETGEAR DGN2000 Wireless ADSL Router - 802.11 n, 4-port switch

what router is better guys compairing to the broadcom dg834GT router for SNR tweaking ect and wireless

i know one of them has better range distance but my hardware will all be very close to the router so thats not a issue.

are they both broadcom chipset ?
if so im guessing the 3300 is just the same as the 2000 or is it the same as the dgn 3300

dam all this router info is mind boggling my peanut lol

any help appreciated guys.

I see, I thought it was the broadcom features that you was after.

I too would like to know if the latest netgear routers are based on broadcom chipsets.

yeah that aswell lol :) actually thats most important of them all :D

best estimate would be

dgn 2000 and 3300 and GT are all broadcom.

i need a router with more functions not less and the wireless transfer speeds on that router i think is just 54G

where as the GT is 108G

and the 2000 is 300G

Isn't the GT higher transfer rate a propriety standard? so unless you have a Netgear adaptor that supports it, it won't operate at that speed.

Just interested in your answer as that's what I assumed without doing any testing.

dgnd3300 v2

well i went to hmm and was planning on grabbing a dgn2000 becuse i wasnt sure about the wndr3300 then i noticed something special ;)

even though the dgnd3300 v2 router wasnt on hmm website as in store or stock lol
it was there smileing at me as i walked though the door :D

so i decided to get that router and its bloody awsome

just connected about 4 hours ago been tweaking and im back with my SNR 0.6db 24543 Sync ;)

sweet sweet, now all i need to wait for is DGTEAM releaseing the goods. :)

id like to know this

like this ;)

wowaw.jpg

as you can see :) wooooot
though without the tweak i sync at 6db with the tweak - minute DB :) = Maximum LLU sync.

what version of dmt tool is that?, are you a 100% positive it a BC chipset?

v8.07. and yes 150% positive its a Broadcom Chipset Router/modem ;)
here are the details of the routers CPU info.

system type : 96358VW2
processor : 0
cpu model : BCM6358 V1.0
BogoMIPS : 299.00 (300mhz Cpu Possibly ;) )
wait instruction : no
microsecond timers : yes
tlb_entries : 32
extra interrupt vector : no
hardware watchpoint : no
ASEs implemented :
VCED exceptions : not available
VCEI exceptions : not available
unaligned exceptions : 1396786

As you can see it uses the BCM6358 *BCM = Broadcom*

here is the info of the memory subsystem.

DMT Tool info

adslctl version 1.0
ADSL PHY: AnnexA version - A2pB023k.d20k_rc2
System Type: 96358VW2

Uses 60meg onboard memory.

i also think the 3300v2 has 16meg onboard flashrom.

and finaly more researching i have found out that the dgnd3500 is not a Broadcom chipset router. so if anyone gets that router and is into lower SNR tweaking and modable firmware`s ect then forget it ;) lol

Ahh I see. Only problem I can see is if the router disconnects for any reason, it wouldn't save the SNR setting. Bit of a pain if your on adsl max as your profile would take about 3-5 days to recover.

If the router disconnects then the router will reconnect at the same SNR :)
if the router needs rebooted then yes you will have to readd the tweak with takes all of 3 seconds lol

but once the DGTeam firmware is out it will have a perminent fix :D
and how meny times do you need to reboot a router anyway...
