Laptop owners with SSD's - how quicks your boot?

54 seconds from cold boot to usable with my netbook and a normal 5400 rpm HDD, 60s with an SSD seems slow.

Do you have TRIM support enabled? (assuming it's been used a bit).

37 seconds with a ocz vertex 128gb ssd in a clevo w860cu using win7.
Thats from pressing the power button to when everything has completed loading with my desktop up.

I could swear it was a bit faster when i first got it but i never recorded how long it took.

60 seconds was for a full restart, so others saying 35 seconds seems about right if thats from boot to windows loading fully.

how do I tell if trim is enabled?

You may need to update the firmware on the SSD as well as installing the AHCI drivers and enabling AHCI in the BIOS.

To check if your drive supports TRIM:

Download and install the Intel SSD Toolbox. // http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18455
Run the Intel SSD Toolbox. If your drive is not an Intel SSD, the only option available will be "View Drive Information". Click that.
Scroll down to Word 169 and look at the value for Bit 0 - Data Set Management Supported. if this is 1, you have TRIM. If 0, you don't.
