I ran the updater yesterday evening now I can't seem to join any game and the single player CTD the second it loads. Hmmm, I'll have to wait until they fix it :(

great how do you do that? cant see any obvious way:mad:

from memory...

go into Multiplayer at the top, then server browser

Once that has opened then enter uk into the search box and select from the drop down if you want a specific game type like Rush for example and then click on the search button

^This.
Rather than blanket refreshing the Server Browser always type in a more refined search term; 'UK' is a solid bet, or the name of a specific server provider (eg. Multiplay). You'll find that doing this means populating the list with relevant servers only takes ~5-10seconds, rather than 30seconds plus for a load of global servers you're unlikely to want (and you could always search for these instead if that's where you're aiming for).
It is annoying that the game doesn't automatically save your previous searches/list when opening the browser again, but typing a couple of letters out a couple of times in an evening doesn't exactly break the game.

I bought this yesterday and for some reason it won't save my settings and on top of that it doesn't save my settings/save files to my documents, it puts them at the root of the partition I have the game installed on.

Does anyone know a fix for this? It's incredibly irritating to have to change the settings every time I want to play.

-edit-
I manually altered the game's settings myself and all is well now. Still not sure why it wouldn't save the settings ingame.

Do I have to do this every time I run the game?

What you can do is go into the folder you installed the game and find the file BFBC2Updater, go into its properties and change the Compatibility so that is runs as administrator. Then just start it as normal and you should get pings showing up.

Ok stupid question time..!

I know somebody who is tempted to buy this game but they only have an athlon 64 3700+ (single core) / x1950 pro. Have they got any chance at all even on low settings? anyone in a similar situation?

I have an Ocd E6300, 4gb ram and an x1900xt.

It runs like a dog even on low and in the range of 30fps usually, but some maps it's in the 20s. Horrible tbh and am getting a 5700 soon to sort me out and overclock some more.

You don't do that, if you got it through steam you need to make steam run with admin rights then click cancel on the popup after you restart it. Can see pings etc in game then

Mine was from steam, for the life of me i cant see pings!? my account runs as admin (i think)
Any advice help would be great thanks
