I'm new to the world of selling on ebay, I started my auction off at £15.00

I've had 2 bids so it says, all well and good BUT...

Bidder Bid Amount Bid Time
xxxxx( 17) £15.00 02-Apr-10 10:42:33 BST
xxxxx( 17) £15.00 02-Apr-10 10:42:14 BST
Starting Price £15.00 01-Apr-10 14:52:44 BST

How can he have put 2 of the same bids in

I understand he can follow my starting price of £15 on his first bid, but after that he'd need to increase his bids there onwards?

I didn't get the option to set any increments...is this automatically setup?

I hope I've not setup my auction all wrong lol

Thanks.

The bidder has placed a bid and then I think he's increased his maximum bid. This maximum bid isn't visible until someone outbids that bidder. So basically if a new person places a bid on the item and it's lower than the original bidders maximum bid, the price will keep going up and the original bidder will still be the winning bidder until the price goes over their maximum bid.

It sounds complicated but its not really.

So now that this issue has been cleared up thanks :D

What do you reckon a boxed up Amiga 500 will cost to send via courier @ 48hour delivery?

You have a link? You should have just gone on royal mail site and go on the price finder what tells you how much it would cost.

They seem to have gone for anywhere between £20-£40 dependant on condition. Obviously your might sell for less but who knows :) GL

Well I've figured out the highest bidder is now £20 and theres 8 watchers...hmmm

Looks in good nick, as many have over the years it's showing yellowing in some lights, but not all, looks beige as normal in other lights. Could just be me though.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to place active auction links in here...?

You will find once you got through your first few sales and got the initial feedback comments, you will have more interest/bids and watchers in your auction.

I gave up trying to build my feedback up by selling from 0 as no one was buying from me, easiest way to do this is just buy some random cheap bits (that you could make use of) then the seller will give you feedback and it will boost you up so you will have more luck with your sale.

www.parcel2go.com will collect & deliver the item for around 7 quid, saves having to stand in the post office with all the old people smelling of wee.

Ewww fishy wee...

The homeless skets :p

And everyday scallies.

I had trouble in the past with Parcel2go where they kept assuring me the driver would collect, day after day to still get nothing, and then had to threaten them with trading standards to get a refund. I wonder if I'm on their blacklist :p

They've got HDNL on there lists now too, they even send you a text to say roughly what time they'll be collecting.

Ah back then it was all primitive, useless women on the helpdesk making false promises.

I hope they've improved. Will give them a go as they do seem cheapest

Cheers :)
