Like ths Gargoyle statues in Batman that you grapple up to, I'm sure they have a technical name, but I can't think what it is...

Well, I meant that they were like the stone gargoyle statues, as in their position hanging from the wall

Hmmm... it's basically the term for any statue that is up high on a wall, the statue could be a human, an animal or a beast of fantasy. I'm thinking maybe I'm wrong and there isn't an exact term for them. Wall statue seems the most accurate I've come across.

It's only technically a gargoyle if it's used to siphon water, like the end of a gutter, to be a gargoyle, water must be expelled from it.

If it's an ornamental statue on the outside of a building it is indeed...
