4870x2 or 5700 x2 crossfired

Completely ignore the 5830s they were a complete joke of a card and should be removed from stock tbh.
5850 or 2x 5770.

Xfire 5770s=5870 performance, 5870 = or in many case with current drivers better than 4870x2 performance, so xfire 5770's is a good deal IMO.

I don't want to xfire as it would render the pci slots useless on my ud5 board and i wouldn't be able to xfi platinum in or my video capture card thats why i need a single card and of equal performance. I was only going to have a play at tri fireing the 4870x2 and single 4870. Becouse i had them allready.

you didnt return an overclocked gainward rampage tri-slot cooler 4870x2 did you?

cos i sent back a broken gainward 4870x2 and got back one that works but sometimes only posts on boot one in every 3 resets but its the trislot faster one. happy with it tho but i only got it by throwing a wobbly on the phone for a week. I would lol if they fixed ur card and sent it to me.

No i haven't shipped it to them yet waiting till after the bank holiday so you safe.
 
5770's

a. drivers still maturing <performance
b. as much as i admire the sheer complexity of dual chip cards, a "normal" cf setup is still gonna have a few less issues.
