Best model Porsche ?

Cayenne Turbo - beautiful, just amazing...
I haven't driven any other Porsche's, but in this car you feel safe and the acceleration for such a huge car is monumental, mind you, the sounds arhhh!

If you want a raw and quick track 911 then nothing will touch a 996 GT3 or GT3 RS for all round brilliance and rawness, a total event car and what sunny Sunday mornings at 4am were designed for. If you want a less raw but quicker track 911 then nothing will touch a 997 GT3 or GT3 RS, which is a more refined road 911 than the 996 version. Turbo's will give you epic go but in my experience the engine in the GT3 is more epic, if less powerful and the GT2 has never quite managed to deliver the GT3 with a turbo feel. In my view 4WD in a 911 is pretty much wasted as traction is what 911's are brilliant. I have driven 993's and older ones but in my view, once you take the rose tinted glasses off the GT3 in all its forms is by some margin the greatest production Porsche.

Race cars then it MUST be the 917 even if the 956/962 was more successful.

I'd love to comment but I haven't driven many Porsches therefore I don't think I'm qualified to give a worthwhile opinion.

Thats what i like to hear! :)

959, just because I think it looks great :)

Realistically I think the 996 C4S is a decent buy value wise, plus it's the only one I've driven :p

im a fan of the 993 looks just because they were the rounds with the nice front until the newest ones. Nothing to do with watercooled etc.

I however have only driven a 944 and 924 and some people dont even count them as porsches.

550 Spyder. Love it.

I work for the brand and I'd find it hard to decide;
993 Turbo S is a classic,
997 Turbo S (Gen 2) for everyday
997 GT3RS for trackdays
Cayenne Turbo S just cos they are such a contradiction (though new Cayenne due soon)

959 and Carrera GT for collection.

Not much love for the 959, was it not an epic car in its time?
I think the 993 Turbo looks stunning although it certainly isn't the best Porsche ever. As I have never driven a Porsche, I cannot comment unfortunately..

A Techart Magnum passed me on the motorway this morning and it sounded absolutely beastly and he was only trundling along. Looked the part too!
